All payments to customers, either walk-in or through the mail shall receive payment by company check, and not cash. In store customers shall receive payment by check at time of purchase. Customers selling precious metals by mail shall be mailed payment immediately upon processing their order.
Limitation of liability:
This limitation of liability shall be binding on each and every customer and any third party, including, but not limited to, the customer and the customer’s successors, assigns, insurance carriers and any other individual or entity asserting any right or claim relating to customer’s transaction with Arnold Jewelers.
Arnold Jewelers shall not be liable to anyone for any damages, including but not limited to, incidental, consequential, punitive, loss of profit or opportunity, other than as set forth herein above.
By submitting the item for sale, customer explicitly and
expressly accepts this limitation of liability.
Verbal Offers:
Any customer or prospective seller may request Arnold Jewelers to provide a telephone or e-mail quote for his or her items after such items have arrived at
Arnold Jewelers store. Verbal offers may, at the discretion of
Arnold Jewelers, be recorded. Upon a verbal acceptance by the customer of the telephone or e-mail quote, payment will be issued by
Arnold Jewelers within twenty four (24) hours of such acceptance.
Processing Damage:
Arnold Jewelers cannot be help responsible for damages caused by processing your silver. Some silver covered items, weighted silver or holloware in particular, must be broken apart to determine its actual silver content. To do
this, it is necessary to first remove the items thin, outer silver skin from its non-silver (weighted) core. In the process, the pieces aesthetic appeal is unfortunately, destroyed. Such holloware items very often include knife handles (knife blades are often stainless), candle holders, salt and pepper shakers, and other pieces. Weighted silver was made to make fine silver
available at a lower cost. A seam in a silver item is a good sign that it is weighted. Solid silver will have no seam. If you are not sure if it is holloware, and would like our opinion, please send close-up pictures to
Other items with artificial stones, cubic zirconia's, fake pearls, etc. may also suffer damage when we attempt to remove the non-silver portion to weigh it for its silver content. If
you are unhappy with our offer after we have processed items discussed here and above, we will be happy to send them back in their "post-processed" condition at no charge, if
shipped back to you via "regular mail" through the US Post Office. Again, Arnold Jewelers cannot be held responsible for damages due to processing, as this is very often the only way we can process these types of silver pieces.
